The Casa de los Pobres, a source of nutritious food and medical care for the poorest of the poor in Tijuana, is in desperate need of a new truck …

The current truck that the Casa relies on daily is old, leaking oil, and unsafe. It is beyond repair, according to the Sisters and their mechanics.

The Casa depends on this truck for daily pick-ups to help create the 20,260 meals they serve each month. And the truck makes deliveries of vital food and blankets to people in the outlying colonias.

The truck travels at least two hours on the freeway each day to pick up food and other supplies, including your donations, in San Diego. Sister Armida is worried about the safety of their driver in the current truck.

The Casa de los Pobres needs a reliable truck to continue its mission of mercy to serve the poor in God’s name.  

“The poor are sick, homeless. But we see the hope in their eyes,” says Sr. Armida.
